Use Local Search to Increase Store Traffic

Who said that search engine marketing only helps your website? InternetRetailer has a great article referencing some great ways to increase your stores physical traffic and your websites web traffic. It’s called multi-channel marketing!

Sears, for example, uses eBay to to direct online shoppers to their outlet stores by letting them see if their order will ship from a local zip code and if it will the customer can chose to pick it up.  I know from personal experience that if I go inside a store to pick something up I always end up buying more stuff.  One more reason local search should not be ignored. Not everyone likes to wait for shipping but we all love to search on the internet.
